Network Geotechnics has expanded its in-situ testing capabilities by purchasing Geotech AB electronic Vane Shear Test (VST) equipment.

Richard King, Principal Engineer at Network Geotechnics said VSTs are primarily used to measure undrained shear strength of soft clay deposits.

“The test can also be used in fine-grained soils such as silts, organic peats, tailings and other geomaterials where a prediction of the undrained shear resistance is required.”

VSTs will complement Network Geotechnics CPTU and push tube drilling capabilities using our crawler mounted Geoprobe 6625CPT rig.
